Monday, May 15, 2006, Fort Ross staff made a visit to the McNear Brick yard. Sarah Gould, Robin Joy, with Walt Pack, Frank Binney, and Jeannette Pontacq enjoyed the tour with Steve Albang. We looked at the art of making bricks, the various material and sizes, and the many different end results. Mr. McNear was on site and also gave us a personal tour of the old kilns.
