I am Pss Anne
Gagarin. I have been doing research about my family. (see
www.gagarin.com). I do have a
picture of Elena and also a picture of her father (attached). You can
see that she looked like her father.
The
reason why she is not on the family tree is that she was totally banned
from the family. Her husband was involved with the Decembrists. Her
father was the prosecutor general! This was a very important as she
could have compromised the all family. So, there was actually 7 children
and not 6.

She had a sister Varvara and 5 brothers:Pavel, Gueorgui, Valerian,
Sergei, Irodion
I have read many text about Elena, and some info comes from a lot of
imagination: Her husband was not a count. She was not the niece of the
Tsar. My ancestor was her father's first cousin, and he was married to
Catherine II granddaughter. Her mother was from German descent.
